Delete Your Techsnap Account

Method 1: Delete via the Android App

1. Open the Techsnap app on your Android device and log in to your account.
2. Tap your Profile icon in the top corner.
3. Tap Settings.
4. Tap Account.
5. Tap Delete Account.
6. Verify your identity via OTP sent to your registered mobile number or email.
7. Confirm the deletion. You will receive a confirmation email once your request is queued.

You can also navigate directly: Profile → More → Delete Account.

Method 2: Delete via the iOS App (iPhone / iPad)

1. Open the Techsnap app on your iPhone or iPad and log in to your account.
2. Tap your Profile icon.
3. Tap Settings.
4. Tap Account.
5. Tap Delete Account.
6. Verify your identity via OTP sent to your registered mobile number or email.
7. Confirm the deletion. You will receive a confirmation email once your request is queued.

Note: If you signed in using Sign in with Apple, revoking Apple ID access alone does not delete your Techsnap account. You must follow the steps above or use Method 3 below.

Method 3: Delete via the Web App

1. Log in to your account at https://app.techsnap.in
2. Go to Profile Settings.
3. Select Account.
4. Click Delete Account and follow the on-screen prompts.

Method 4: Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the app, email us from your registered email address to:

Subject line: Account Deletion Request

Please include your full name, registered email address or mobile number, and the reason for deletion (optional). We will verify your identity before processing the request.

What data will be permanently deleted

• Account information (name, email address, mobile number, profile photo)
• Learning progress, completed lessons, and skill data
• Assessment history, test responses, and scores
• Portfolio entries, project submissions, and code submissions
• Blog posts and community content you authored
• Chat messages and conversation history
• Uploaded files, documents, and certificates stored in your account
• Notification preferences and device push tokens (FCM / APNs)
• AI-generated recommendations and learning history

What data may be retained (legal compliance)

• Transaction and payment records — retained for a minimum of 7 years as required by Indian tax law and financial regulations.
• Certificate issuance logs — retained for up to 5 years to support future verification requests from employers or institutions.
• Security and fraud logs — retained for up to 30 days post-deletion for platform integrity purposes, then deleted.
• Legal hold data — if your account is subject to a legal proceeding, court order, or ongoing investigation, certain data may be retained until the matter is resolved.
• Institution-provided data — if your data was originally shared with Techsnap by your educational institution, you may also need to contact your institution regarding their separate retention obligations.

Active Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription or entitle you to a refund. All Techsnap subscriptions are purchased exclusively through our website at techsnap.in via Razorpay — no subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Please cancel your subscription through your account settings on the Techsnap website before requesting deletion. For assistance, contact [email protected].
